Halftime 7-0

I would like to apologize again to the coach and players of Chester High School. Due to a misunderstanding at halftime, scoring restrictions were lifted from the players.
Its a nice gesture, but I dont think you have to apoligize. This forum seems to be split on "running up the score".The more games I see playing keep away, the more I want to say," let em score."But that just aint right!
Your right forum is split on how to slow the running up and I think most hate the keep away aspect. If the bulk of the goals were scored by defenders playing up or bench players then you are right "let em score" but if the starters were still pouring it on in second half well....

I just do not understand the "half time" mistake. Is the coach saying that at no time during the second half he could get control of the game to tell his players he wanted scoring restrictions? Did he never put them in place?

beaufort 4 white knoll 1 beaufort scored late in the first half off of a nice set up-poor clear- volley. got another, then the ref kept slowing the game down. WK scores with about 20 to go and holds the ball has a few chances, overall beaufort had several and finished two late to make the final 4-1. have to give the white knoll fans credit, they make a lot of noise, got on the ref alot but can be expected... looked like the fouls and yellows went to white knoll, also it was a lot of fouls from behind, the ref actually saved a couple of breakaways because he gave the foul and not the advantage to beaufort, yellow cards for talking back... hope these regions switch next year as they seem to produce 8 quality teams

West Ashley/Aiken? Carolina Forest/James Island? Stratford/Sumter?
Not a real big surprise Clover played some good teams very close this year. 5 of the 7 losses came to FM, NHS, and Mauldin with all of them fairly close games. I know they had some injuries down the final run, maybe they are healthy now.
Anyone know Wren result?
Clover coach has done an excellent job with that program and has them playing a good style of soccer.
Any Nation Ford/Ridge View update?
NHS beat Blythwood see post above holdin on for NAFO could be 4 for 4!

Got a text from the game earlier...RV won 2-1
Likes like Lower State is going to win the posting award for first round!
Carolina Forest 3 - James Island 1
That's the final i heard as well. Grats to RV on pulling out the win and making it to the second round!
Chapin 7 Clinton 0

2-0 at the half.

The keeper for Clinton had one heck of a game. I didn't keep an offical tally but Chapin probably had 16 shots on frame the first half and he stopped all but 2. Continued into the 2nd half when he finally wore out.
way to finish it off lower state....sorry Import
Still 3 for 4, and a 1 goal loss, not a bad night for the much maligned region 3 boys.
Hats off to Lower State! We still have three missing in action here in the 4A Upper State.

Battery Creek @ Socastee

Battery Creek - 0
Socastee - 7

S - 5 B - 0 @ the half

Most of the starters except the GK were pulled around 30 minutes into the 1st half. The starting GK was pulled at the half. Socastee played with 9 young(fresh/soph) players and the backup GK(fresh) for all but the first 5 minutes of the 2nd half. Score would have been 8-0 but the young foward that shot the goal was about a foot offside so it didn't count. It was pretty much a keepaway game the majority of the 2nd half.
