Chapin:

T.L. Hanna is a good squad as is Walton. Best game to watch on Friday would be Irmo vs. TL Hanna. Worst game to watch would be Walton/AC Flora. AC Flora should not take offense in the fact that Walton will start their second 11 instead of their starting 11. They've done this the past 3 years in anticipation of playing Irmo early Saturday morning. Dutch Fork/Dreher or Chapin/Northwestern will be good games at 8:00.

What do you guys think of the Dorman vs Ben Lippen game?

I am not surpised that someone did not say that BL would be out manned. I know it is the preseason but with the results of the Eastside vs Dorman game how do you think that this game is going to playout.

The Lake Murry will be a great tournament. The best teams in the state are competing in it. Would n it be great to see a rematch of those to great 4A teams that were in the state finals last year. I think it was Northwestern and Irmo right? That would be a game to remember. What do you think?

Irmo should win their first game, but going against Walton will be a very difficult game. Walton always rests their starters until they play Irmo. This doesn't count for Walton's W-L's, so they don't care if they lose a game or two. This is how Irmo and Walton can gage their season. Walton has done this for the past few years. But it will be good to see all of these good teams playing. I would like to see Northwestern play Walton. I would put money on it that Walton would beat them by at least 2 goals. Good luck to everyone, it should be an exciting tourney.

The Ben Lippen Dorman score was kind of deceiving
Dorman scored the first goal in the first 10:00, I heard that it was a good goal, but I did not see it. Dorman score the second goal on a bad pass by one of the defenders, one on one with the Keeper. Ben Lippen had plenty of chance in the last 20 minutes hit the post twice and just could not finish their shots. BL did score but the ref called Offsides with 12 guys 6 feet from the goal.

Irmo beat DF 2-1 in a semifinal game that Irmo did not even deserve to play in because of their loss earlier that morning, but with Walton forfeiting they were given an extra shot.

Why was the Lake Murray Challenge setup to have three games in one day? I've heard a lot of discussions regarding the "well-being" of the players, but this certainly goes against that train of thought. I mean seriously, three games in one day? That's worse than the Dual Participation rule that allows high school students to play for their school team and club team in the same weekend. I noticed the Viking Cup and Carolina Soccer Classic play on Sunday (could this be included for the future of the District 5 tournament?). [Confused]
