Anyone know about PG/HHC?
Posted By: Jack Rozier Re: Thursday Scores - 04/30/04 01:38 AM
LE - 4
Camden - 2

2-0 at the half (I think)

Goals for LE by Jack Rozier(senior), Matt Watts(senior), Sean Radvansky(senior), and Ricky Taylor(freshmen).

Excellent officials.. great intensity from LE tonight. I couldn't ask for a better senior night.

PG 2-0 HHC
PG had finishing problems up top in the first half but managed to net two later on.
Any details on BE/BL?

Aiken-2
South Aiken-1 (OT)

Aiken scored first off Shuyler's header with about 21 minutes left in the second half, then South Aiken scored off Jamal's header a couple minutes later. Jamal's goal came after a great play by John Odum. He made an excellent stop with his feet right outside the 18, dribbled upfield, then South Aiken got it back and scored on the counter-attack. The play made by John was one of the best stops I've ever seen. Everyone else would've needed to use their hands to stop it. Chances are these two teams will meet again on a higher platform. Tough luck for SA, but if everything plays out right for both teams, they'll have another shot at it.

L-E Dude - have you ever rung the bell at Zemp?

Chapin 2-Emerald 1 in OT--Region Championship. Spencer Lovelace(a defender) scored a brilliant goal for Chapin with under 2 minutes left in the game while Emerald was up 1-0. Justin Long scored in the first overtime period to take the win. It was a very intense match with great effort from both teams. Emerald is a great team and will probably meet Chapin again in the playoffs.

...in a manner of speaking.

When we beat Camden at Zemp my sophomore year one of our guys went over to ring it..long story short..there was a brawl..but yeah..the bell and all is great...for football (because that's about all Camden is good at)..I've only heard that bell once and it was four years ago..who cares?

haha, i was just wondering, i have noticed the big crowd of people that guard the bell every game.

I always walk up to it with my hand out like i'm going to ring it just to watch them squirm.

yeah..

I think my freshmen year..at the Camden/Lugoff football game..some of our cheerleaders went to go ring it when we scored..and got into a fight with Camden's cheerleaders..

It's so dumb.

First time I have seen Ben Lippen play this year, so I do not know if they played up to standards or not. B.E. really controlled the whole game. B.L. scored on a restart w/ under 2 minutes left in match. B.E. rested some starters for their playoff run and I heard that a strong Ben Lippen player was sitting out for a red card. Throw in the "NO See Ums" and it was a miserable match to watch.

we were suppposed to be playing Strom Thurmond in the first round but they decided to forefeit... it really sucks to have your first round playoff game cancel on you but were are thinking NMB in the 2nd round.
