Strom Thurmond Tourney

Who do you think will win the Strom Thurmond Tourney. The teams in it are Blackville-Hilda, Williston-Elko, Silver Bluff, and Strom Thurmond. Just wondering.

What happened to Columbia being in that tourney?? I guess they backed out and Blackville Hilda filled that spot....

Hmm...I'm guessing that it will either be Strom Thurmond or Blackville-Hilda since the other 2 teams aren't that good. I'll go with Strom Thurmond. Not to sure how either team is this year, but all you have to do against Blackville-Hilda is stop the "boom ball". All they do is kick it down the field and it's a sprint. If you stop that your golden. One of their captains last year (not sure if he's there this year) is their only playmaker down the field. Other then that they rely on the 2 big guys (HeHateMe & Escalade).

Why isn't Blackville-Hilda playing in that Barnwell classic. That tourney would seem like more of a competition for you guys to see what you really have.

We weren't able to get into that tournament this year. It was filled up before we got a chance. And hehateme and escalade are the same person. By the way, don't look for the boom ball that much this year from us.

yea when i played varsity in 9th grade, there were 8 teams in the barnwell classic and now there only allowing 4 teams. I don't know y the change.

Storm Thurmond will win it cuz silver bluff isn't that good.

Edisto played williston-elko this tuesday. they don't have noone really. All they got is a kid with hair like carrot top. Hes there best player. All williston does it kicks it down the field and the forwards will try to out run you.

I dont think many people would have had the final results as 1. Silver Bluff 2. Blackville 3. Williston 4. Strom Thurmond. Congratulations silver bluff. I think the other teams overlooked you and you suprised them. Do y'all have any new players this year that contributed to your victories?

It is my belief that the accomplishment of an ant making a hill is more impressive than as to whoever won the Strom Thurmond tournament.

Steak $11.95 does A LOT of talking. Where are you from and who do you play for?

And about the post... #10 for Silver Bluff has to be one of the Top 5 players in 2A. This kid single handedly beat us. He scored 3 of their 4 goals. If we could have stopped him, we would have won. We just never shut him down. Also, we had to play the games back to back on Saturday, and we just didn't have the steam down the stretch. Tough luck for us I guess. As for Strom Thurmond, they're not bad at all, we just beat the living crap out of them physically. They had a ton of injuries going into Saturday. Hopefully their players will get better. Williston-Elko... Be glad you have #10 up top, because... nevermind. Great tournament, had a great time. Good luck to every one this year.

Hey Grapefruit boy, how do I do a lot of talking. I only said that your team has the weakest schedule in 1A for a ranked team. Now that you picked up 2 top 10 2A schools your scheudle is a little better, though Barnwell will probably be knocked out of the top 10 within 2 weeks. I'm not knocking your schools program. I only told it how it is. I was asked how you guys were and I said your team relied on the 'boom ball' last year and that was all I knew about your team besides the fact that you had 2 big players (that probably were just playing for football conditioning) to watch out for. That's all man. Don't start nothing...........

Well obviously you didn't follow us too well Steak. Do you play for a 2A school? I hope so because I hope that Silver Bluff plays yall. #10 is going to single handedly beat your team just like he did us. You will see what we mean if you play them.

we will shut # 10 down. Steak Barnwell is a good team. they are ranked 4th in state rigt now, we had the game but ref's alled a pk back and edisto had to shoot it again.Barnwell players pushed 2 of edistos players over the line.We had 2 freshman kick pk's in the pk shootout and both of them missed theres. Nerves got to them. Barnwell is decent but they only have a good defense and 1 really good player. There #18 is decent and There Striker Justin S. is decent. I doin't think they will be able to stay in the top 5 but i think they an shutdown silver bluff.

Big Ups to barnwells Gary #22 he held the defense down.

So we should look out for #22, #18, and Justin S. at striker. Is that it Edisto_striker#8???

what about Wade Hampton?

thats it for b-well besides on ther free kicks close to the goal, they have a boy with yellow/green cleats, he can kick good free kicks and put them in the net. I don't know about wade hampton, besides they got a boy named seth i tihnk hes # 15, if not look for a boy with long black hair with a goatee.

we will try. it will be a fight. its barnwell, wade hampton, edisto, silver bluff is the main 4 teams in region. so its gonna be a good region

Wow, that sounds like a powerhouse region. So did all of the games in the Barnwell Classic end in pks?

the only game that didn't was the wade hampton bamberg game
