Any names? School? Reasons for your opinion? Thanks.
sara simpson from RNE is a really good player but has no team to work with in highschool. she scored i believe 16 goals and missed 4 games last season with a team that was well below average.
she's not alone..
if she is not alone please give me two other players on that team that you have ever heard brought up in a convo about being a good player? they have one premier player centered around players that have not played at a high level. do not get me wrong it is great that they are playing but she is kind of a one girl team.
mrd-

i think cht meant that there are other teams with the same situation as with rne.
thanks
The Mauldin team were very under rated all season but they got through to the State finals in May by beating some of the best AAAA teams in the State on their home fields. Sarah Shaidle the leading goal scorer will be very strong player as a senior, however the team that played last year is virtually complete and has added more talented players.
How can you add players before tryouts? ;-)
Mauldin has added one of the top players in the state Alex Simpson - a transfer. Mauldin has the best talent in the state!
oh i apologize i didnt think about it like that! my apologies
Casi Jones-Airport, leading goalscorer in region last season. She is signed on to play at Lander I believe.

From what school?
I think she is from Ware Shoals or Laurens
Moved from Savannah. She should be a nice addition to an already strong returning lineup
What club team does she plan on?
CESA 92 Girls Premier, Midfield/forward
Can anybody play with Agent Orange in the upper state this spring?

I smell a 4A state title rematch in May!
Laura Mottel, senior, from North Augusta. 65 varsity goals, 3 time all region, scsoccer.com super 22.
These are the girls that are returning from last year's all-state teams. So I guess all conversations start here. There is definitely a lot of talent across the state. BTW, I didn't change the grade for these girls so bump them up a year in your mind.

Obviously, I am partial to Casey. I also think Sarah Schaidle is fantastic.

I was surprised to find that you don't list Gracie Boswell, the Mauldin freshman, who scored the two last minute winning goals against Hannah in the regular season and the playoffs.

I have no idea who you are talking about...and who is Hannah?

JK, of course we at Hanna know Gracie very well and she plays club with some of mine. My previous post was just a list of returning all-state players and was not meant to be exclusive...just a jumping off point for discussion.
Casi Jones is the fastest female soccer player I have ever seen in my entire life.

I saw Adair as a young buck and was impressed with her poise even then.

Casey Craft would start for a lot of boys teams with her skill level and speed.

Let's not forget the studs from S. Aiken who played in a very tough 4A region last year. Talking about returning some good junior and senior players.
Nicole Neil 15 goals 9 assists (Sr)
Maggie Bosley 12 goals 8 assists (JR)
Melissa Harris 12 goals 3 assists (SR)
Nicole Gaul 8 goals 4 assists (SR)
My wife and I were able to watch the U-18 Challenge State Cup final between CESA Premier and CUFC Girls Elite in Greenville on Sunday. A number of the girls listed by coach Joyner, as making All-State in an earlier post, were on these squads:

Casey Craft JR M T.L. Hanna = CESA
Haley Hutchens JR M Irmo = CUFC
Emily Kellem JR D Dutch Fork = CESA
Sarah Morabito JR M Dutch Fork = CESA
Sarah Schaidle JR M Mauldin = CESA
Casi Jones JR F Airport = CUFC
Katie Tate JR K Woodmont = CESA
Rae Wilson JR F J.L. Mann = CESA

#10, Rae Wilson, was fun to watch for CESA. She scored the first two goals and assisted on the third, to Schaidle, in a 3-0 win. Very speedy and amazing ball control. She has to be one of the most dangerous FWs in the state. Not sure where she plays for JL Mann, however...

Congrats to both teams! It was one cold day!!!
Ryan,

Aren't most of those girls seniors this year?

I am sure they are all seniors now--they made all-state as Juniors last year.
Caitlin Fountain, the Goalkeeper at Blue Ridge is very good. Marissa Sumwalt is a forward that is top notch too.
Haley Hutchens JR M Irmo = CUFC
Out for HS with ACL injury
ALEXA GAINEY WEST FLORENCE SO. (CUFC)
ALEXANDRIA "AJ" JACKSON WEST FLORENCE JR. (CUFC)
BOTH SHOULD BE EXCITING TO WATCH AS THEY ATTEMPT TO LEAD THE YOUNG BUT EXPERIENCED WEST FLORENCE KNIGHTS (WHO ARE ON THEIR 3RD COACH IN AS MANY YEARS).
