4-2 in PK's

I want to congratulate the Gilbert ladies on a well played game tonight (my club ladies)! However, we did have 25 shots on goal and somehow we could not find the back of the net->blasted four inch post.
Call of the night: The official closest to the ball called a goal kick, then the ref behind the mid-field line called it a corner, the refs squibble about the call, ends up being a corner, ball goes off the heel on my defender, thus leading to Gilbert's one and only goal--I think I need a rabits foot;-)

[censored] officials cost you another game Meredith!!!!!! Unreal!!
here we go again...

Meredith, my advice to you is quit complaining about the officiating of your matches. You know your girls and parents read this board and it sends a message to them that it is okay to criticize a referee and to make excuses for a loss. Just a piece of friendly advice, good luck.
Meridith,
If your girls could finish their chances, the refs decisions would not influence the outcome of your games. Sounds like shooting practice today would be a good idea.
Do you think?
I was not complaining about officiating-I think officiating is kind of comical at times. To clarify my earlier post, I just thought we were a bit unlucky. Who are you people??
@ Wade Hampton

Hillcrest 0
Wade Hampton 1

2-1 in PK's

Congratulations to coach Crane and the Wade Hampton girls.
Both teams played hard and the first half was a fairly even match. Hillcrest had more of the play in the 2nd half but for the second game in a row could not get one past the keeper. Also in PK's Wade Hampton's keeper saved four of five shots. Great play on her part to get her team the victory.
I didn't interpret Meredith's post as a complaint towards the refs, but I would like to make one comment. After reading several posts about call/no call complaints, I would like to say that refereeing is not easy and the two-man system absolutely STINKS! The schools need to start paying for a third ref in the more competitive matches at the very least, and especially for region games that could decide a playoff berth or not.
Congrats to Coach Crane and Tori Waddell keeper of Wade Hampton HS.

Lexington got away with one last night. Irmo was down 3-0 and they were missing 3 starters-including their keeper. One cheap goal rolled between the legs of the back up keeper..Second half was a much better game.Lexington was pretty much shut down as Irmo rallied back to make it an exciting game.Should have had a PK as the Lexington keeper took out one of the forwards-gave them a drop ball instead. Also very classy of Coach Fryland to high five his player-#15 after she received a yellow card.
Congratulations to Berkeley and Coach Chass.
Chass and those Lady Stags have been sandbaggin..Seriously..Good job Will.I am sure the girls were on cloud nine..
Loves to play: Irmo lost, don't make excuses. They will get another shot at Lexington later in the season.
I wasn't making excuses. Just telling how the game happened. And I KNOW the girls will be ready for the rematch..
3/27 @ Wando

Wando 0 - Parkview (GA) 0
How does a non-tournament game during the regular season end in a tie?
I believe that GA HS rules don't allow for overtime or penalty kicks, unless in playoffs. Even in the state championship game, the match ends in a tie with co-champions declared.

But, I may be wrong.
Hm...so how does that translate for Wando, since SCHSL rules don't allow for any match to end in a tie? How will that factor into their season record?
