The Greer Lady Yellow Jackets hosted the Eastside Lady Eagles at Greer Memorial Stadium this evening in the second game of a double header that began Tuesday night. Under threatening skies and mild conditions, the game began 10 minutes early to save electricity. The Eastside Lady Eagles won the toss and came out hot with 2 goals in the first 2 minutes. Play settled down, ball control and passing were emphasized and Greer continued to be outmanned. The reserves played a good 50% of the game. My daughter, the sweeper, even had a chance to play the front line and cracked a wicked hard shot into the left side of the goal. The Lady Yellow Jackets never gave up and fought through the whole game to their credit.

Game note of interest: the lady Generals had their most complete performance of the year from the forward,midfield and defence sides of the ball allowing only 1 shot from T.R. WHHS converted 2 goals off corners and a PK. The coaches and parents are very proud of the continued progress this team is making this season.
