Some of us play over 20 games during the regular season. Some of the top teams don't come close to that mark. Is this a purposeful move - less chance of injury perhaps - or just...not scheduling the games? You can play two tournaments and 16 regular season games or one tournament and 18 regular season games. Here are a few playing a short number of games:

Scheduling is going to get interesting around here next year too...typically, regions 7 and 8-AAAA have paired up for a full schedule; 6 teams in our own region, which gives us 5 opponents to play twice for ten games, plus 6 teams in the other region we play once, to round out 16. That just leaves tournaments and the two-game tournament tradeoff to schedule some "extra" competition.

Next year, both regions are going to only 5 teams each with realignment...I'll be interested to see how much of a schedule the region coordinators hammer out without consulting the coaches and how much leeway we will get to schedule our own matches to fill the holes.

I can input on AC Flora they had a late starts this season, missed out on Taco Bell Tournament.
