Chester played with only 11 girls most of whom had little or no soccer background. They kept their composure and seemed to try the whole game even though they were very outgunned. FM stopped trying to drive and score at 4-0 and made most of the rest on headers off corners or crosses from outside the box with defenders playing up top and starters on the bench ect....
Chester's keeper did a very good job and made many good saves. Parents from FM were cheering for her on many of the saves and apprechiated the effort by the Chester players. These girls should be applauded for being out there and playing because it is not always about winning I think(hope) they get that! (and I hope our girls saw that too!!)
JV Soccer has been very competitive in the Myrtle Beach area this season. St.James JV boys improved to 6-0 for the season with wins over Myrtle Beach 2-1, North Myrtle Beach 3-1 and 2-1, Socastee 2-1, Conway 5-0 and Carolina Forest 2-1.
