Former University of South Carolina player and assistant coach Dave Golan, who has served as Head Coach at Appalachian State University the past two years, has been hired to replace longtime Evansville University Coach Fred Schmalz in Indiana.

The Aces finished a subpar 7-11-2 last year, but have long been one of college soccer's storied programs.
