Has anyone else heard that Midland Valley might be fielding a boys team this spring? Have they ever done this?

Seems kind of late for them to just start planning this.

I know there has been talk in the Graniteville and Langley areas in the past for reviving their boys soccer program which disbanded in 1993 after fielding a MVHS team every season since the year the school opened in 1980-81. However, I hadn't heard anything recently. Seems kind of late to "fit it into" the 2010 calendar.

I agree Kyle considering most schools have made schedules already. I would love to see them add a team but with a little advanced notice.

On another note, I am glad to see Swansea putting together a jv team. I think it says a lot about Coach Komo out there.

It says that they might have enough players to put one together. This year, they have numbers for it...a few years back, they didn't. To write it as a retroactive judgment on the former Swansea coaches seems a bit premature.

That is no slam on any former coaches but their current coach has made it a priority to turn kids on to sport. A lot more goes into a program than just having enough players to fill a team.
