Irmo and Wando would be my early prediction for the state finals, who do you all think would win this game? Thoughts.?? Any more predictions?

out of the top couple teams in columbia, irmo, lex, sv, etc. who is in lower and upper state?

Fort Dorchester is looking pretty decent right now. Lets see how they fare the rest of the season

Irmo - 4 Wando - 2 ???

By season's end, that would be a 1-goal game either way. Maybe OT/PKs. A lot would depend on where it's played, and whether the officiating crew would have the nads to stand up to Savitz.

I just don't think fort D has the defense/depth that wando and irmo have

Anyone who has followed South Carolina 4A Soccer over the past couple of decades knows about the great rivalry that exists between IRMO and WANDO. WANDO is always a well coached, athletic and skillful side. It's VERY early, but I predict we'll see an IRMO vs WANDO State Final.

The real question is who wants it bad enough. From what I've seen of the IRMO squad, this team will do the work and play the style required to make a Championship a reality in 2011.

Having said that, I know WANDO players and many others around the state who have the very same drive and ability to win a State Championship. Looking forward to seeing if these two teams meet in the Final and to see who will ultimately raise the Trophy.

I thought irmo was in lower state? do they just switch irmo every year from lower to upper state depending on if wando or nw is the other top team? or do they even use the upper lower state format anymore??

Irmo is in the Upper State with Northwestern & Wando now.
