Let me get this strait. You are asking if a player can get a card for something a fan says? No, but the fan can get kicked out, and the game can be forfited if the fan does not leave. (however, this is fifa rules, so there may be some stupid high school rule saying that players get cards when fans say stuff.) But it doens't have to be profanity.

what about the coach, can a ref card a coach for fans? im thinkin it would take a ref with a really big ego or a fan saying somethign really nasty for that to happen.

again, to my knowledge (or real rules) coaches cannot recieve a card for someone elses actions, fans will be punished for what they do.

Just what exactly do you plan on saying?

Nobody on the field can receive a card for something a fan does or says. The game cannot even be a forfeit. Per the rules, the referee has the power to stop the game, but is not allowed to declare a winner. It is just sent to the SCHSL as a game that was stopped. The final determination would come from the HSL.

You must be on the field (playing) to recv a card. Coaches are NOT carded, nor bench players, nor fans. O&O is correct, refs can only stop a game and file a report - In NO situation, not even a game that is played to a 'normal' conlcusion does a ref declare a winner. That is up to the League.

I have been a High School League Ref for many years and as was stated earlier, no player or coach can get carded for something a fan does. The fan can be made to leave the facilities, and it's up to the Field Administrator to enforce this. If it is not enforced, the official can terminate the match.

It was also stated a coach cannot get a card for someone elses actions. There is one instance where a coach can be carded. If something happens from bench personel and that person cannot be identified, the coach can be carded.

You are wrong!!! You do not have to be on the field playing to get carded. Coaches and bench players can be carded. You are correct about declaring a winner though.

Realist, can you please tell me on what page of the "laws of the game" that it states that you can get a card when not on the playing feild....i seem to remember fred beiber making a big deal out of the fact that you can only get a card when you are on the field....that is one reason why you make the player step on the field before he takes a throw in......unless of course highschool rules are different.
