It's official -- SYSC closed on the purchase of 107 acres of land. The engineering design work is complete and the grading permits obtained. The first phase of construction will include 6 lighted fields. The long range plans include a total of 13 fields and an indoor facility. The first fields should be in use by Mid 2006.
This is great news for the youth of Spartanburg County. The County has a limited number of soccer fields and NO lighted facilities! The location of the fields (just off I85) might provide Greenville players with another option.
I agree. This sounds like a great opportunity for Spartanburg as well as the state. It definitely will give the unhappy CESA players another option. Thanks for your post.
2fresh Where did you hear that? Are you one of them? Must be those who do not play on the premier teams. They won every age group boys and girls and all will be going to regionals in Texas.
