Does anybody know what happened at Fort D tonight

Fort controlled the game in the first half, but played a little sloppy. At the end of the first half Fort was up 1-0. Coming back into the second half, Beaufort came out very strong and put one in. Then towards the end of the game, one of Forts defenders passed it back to their goalie and he went to kick it, and barely made contact/accidentally passing it to a Beaufort player who then easily shot it in winning the game. Evenly matched game with several errors.

Actually Fort scored about five minutes in the second with a nice play from their forward who absolutley sent a rocket far post inside the 18 on a counter attack. Beaufort tied it with an even more amazing half volley rip outside the 18 which hit the upper 90 crossbar then bounced in. Then the miscue yoshi referred to occured and Beaufort's defense was able to withstand the extreme pressure from Fort for the last 10 minutes. Extremely well played by both teams and congratulations to Beaufort on their first region championship ever!

even match, no, the region champ is Beaufort for a reason, they beat Summerville and Fort D at home, Fort in no way "controlled the first half", the game was even with no chances for either side. Beaufort player headed the ball back from midfield to J. Keys who skined last defender for a near post goal. 1-0 Fort D less than 5 min. in to half. Beaufort did not just come out strong after the goal, they played hard the entire match, #7 BHS RIPPED a shot off the crossbar, down, off the keeper and in the goal, 1-1, then the keeper misplayed the ball, a super chip from 25 out... Beaufort region champs. The next time Summerville walks off the BHS field they better sucure the region title before they start talking S--T! What's being number 2 like?

wow, Firts of all, congrats to Beaufort for your first region championship. but is all that trash talk necessary? If nothing else, that only takes away from your victory. Lose with pride, and Win with Class...

Beaufort is a talented team no doubt, but honestly, region 8 could have gone to any team. Everyone made mistakes, and got lucky on a few occurences. Unless you completely dominated every team, every game, talking trash like that isn't necessary. Good luck in the playoffs to everyone!

Did Summerville take second in region 8 or are they co-champs with Beaufort? If they are co-region champs the Zokker king is just as big of a bonehead as the dope who shot his mouth off after the game. I know Summerville is the second seed in the bracket, did they take second in the region?

Congratulations to Beaufort on a fine regular season and on a share of the region 8 championship. Summerville and Beaufort both finished 8-2 and share the title. It does look like Beaufort will be first seed in the playoffs based on the tie-breaking system that's in place in our region.
In regards to any trash talking from Summerville players in Beaufort, please accept my apologies and know that we'll address this with the players.
