What is considered a good ratio of saves for a keeper in a HS PK shootout?

I believe that 1 stop is average, and there is an average of 1-2 shots that miss goal (outside the goal frame) that aren't really stops.

I read a statistic towards the beginning of the season that said professional keepers average 6 saves per 100 penalty kicks.

Sweet:

Good ratio of saves in HS PK's is 1-2 of 5 or 20-25%.

An above average keeper will hit 30-35%.

does this include misses by the shooter or just stops by the keeper.

In the girls Riverside vs J L Mann game, during OT PK's it seemed like the keepers relied on their teammates making their kick instead of actually making a stop. Neither keeper put a finger on a shot.

The pressure is on the kicker. The Walhalla-Christ Church game was the same- neither keeper touched the ball.

8 players placed the ball perfectly, 2 balls hit the posts and 1 was put over.

Sometimes great saves are made, but usually saves are made because the kicker does not have the perfect shot.

I watched a kid in the State Cup block 5 PK's (all on goal) in the boy's end. Pretty impressive. He wasn't even the starting goalkeeper either.

The pressure is always on the kicker to make the shot, not on the keeper to make the save. Keeper coaches stress this. A well coached and experienced keeper can do things to gain an advantage over the kicker, but it is not expected that she will make the save.
