At Ohio State, we graduate over 5,000 at a time (Yes...some people actually graduate from OSU). Only PhD recipients get their name called. All others, whether bachelor's, masters' or doctorate degrees, line up in six lines and move on through. It's very efficient, although a bit sterile.
