No one says we should win regions and compete for national championships or dominate the ODP selection process.

I think people are saying.....how can we place 1 girl into the region pool out of 3 or 4 age groups when the city of Charlotte placed about 10. I think 93 CSC Blue put more girls thru than SC did.

If its true that the 93 boys team hasn't ever put one in.....why?

Last year the '91 Boys advanced to Nationals. Last year the '92 Boys may have won a single game. Until this year, the '92 Boys had only one holdover, ever! This year they were loaded with talent because they got new players involved and they won their first three games, allowing only 1 goal. Teams who win get their players noticed, plain and simple.

Get your very best players involved and go to region camp with a mindset of accepting nothing less than wins. Every player must have the sense of urgency in all thirds of the field. It can't all be done by the coach. Parents and players have to understand the dynamics and get everyone to participate in order to succeed.

There obviously are no quotas to fill and there shouldn't be. As much as we could try to justify why there should be, it's simply a matter of who is better than the other guy or girl and who shows up.

Is it fair? Absolutely!
