I'm hearing second-hand that there were about 35 college coaches on the sideline for this 7:45 AM match.
Kids play sports because they find it fun. Eliminate the fun and soon you eliminate the kid.

im willing to bet that if 35 colleges are watching you play then atleast one of them has your major unless you plan on being a janitor.
you are right that you need to pursue the college of your choice.im sure some of those 35 schools at one game were there because a player contacted them.

I listen to many parents and players talk about the colleges who came to see them play and I always ask "does this college have your major?" Nine times out of Ten say "I don't know" !!!
Just hoping someone will read this post and begin to plan for the college instead of waiting for the offer for anybody..
I have seen to many dropout after a year because they were not happy with the selected college.

In many cases you may be able to do the 3+2 option... i.e attend school A for 3 years and play and finish at school B for 2 years. But you must first check that the schools have the agreement.

Man City,
I certainly understand that if these coaches don't know the player from Adam, and their school does not offer their major, then chances are it might not be a good fit.
But in the case of Charlotte United, I know first-hand that the club and the players reached out directly to a good number of these coaches and they knew who they were watching.
