i said this at the time of the "merger", the dumbest idea was to include the name mt pleasant in sc united....what egos & shortsightedness made that decision?
why not sc united coastal or low country or tricounty?
for some strange reason, all scump did was make sville, gcreek, mcorner, nchas, chas, james island, daniel island dig in their heels & keep the same old ego driven teritorial battle going.
scump is like new coke of the 80's, not very thought out & probably headed for the dust bowl of lowcountry soccer when those that truly want to unite the yth talent pool figure it out.
tell me its all about the kids, ha.
egos & yth sports seems to be a constant.
i dunno, maybe community competition is better for $ reasons...
