Nobody has brought up this point, but the thought occurs to me that another reason both MP and CESA added players to their rosters is because in case they win state cup, they will need those players at regionals. They can only take the players that are on the roster at state cup and if both rosters were on the light side, they will need them. Also, especially at the u18 age group, I've noticed that players find other things to do come regionals time.
