Until the youth (read: 14-18) in America are competing with and against older (read: 18+) players on a more regular basis -- all this USYSA, USSF DA, Super Duper stuff means nothing!

One of the great arguments for high school soccer paying dividends as well. A quality freshman at Irmo will get better if he is competing against a quality junior/senior five days a week.
I understand that not every program is Irmo, but still, it shows that there is merit in high school soccer 'developing' players.
