To me, you need to see a kid in multiple venues over more than four days of time to evaluate him. Khouri is an excellent example. My guess is, I just haven't seen him enough -- and certainly not lately -- to make a fair evaluation. I doubt that more than a small handful of folks statewide have seen all, or even most, of these kids play recently. Which is why the lion's share of this thread is based on reputations, which tend to be wildly inflated.

Somewhat agree but this forum is for our enjoyment and as you noted, you would need to see player in a variety of settings and games. If the best player in the state is a defender, do you feel he/she would be recognized. Not likely. Of the names mentioned to date, maybe only one is playing D in high school and he is on the national team.

Actually, I WOULD choose a defender, or a keeper, or whomever I thought was "the best."
As to Joe Amon, I've had the opportunity to watch him play on numerous occasions over the last four months. Early on, he was clearly not 100% physically. As he has gotten more fit, he has grown on me. But his game is an acquired taste, so to speak, and again, the case for seeing a kid multiple times.
