GREENVILLE, S.C. (June 19, 2012) –Eight teams have played their way into the final matches of the Under-13 and Under-19 age groups for US Youth Soccer Region III (South) Championships in Greenville, S.C., presented by the National Guard. The U-13 and U-19 Boys and Girls championship matches will be played Wednesday at MeSA Soccer Complex. Not only will the U-19 teams claim a regional title, the teams will also punch tickets to the US Youth Soccer National Championships in Rock Hill, S.C., July 25-29, at the Manchester Meadows.

For the first time at the Region III Championships, U-13 champions will be crowned. The boys matchup pits 99 Lobos Blue (TN) against storied club, NASA 17 Elite (GA). The girls’ game features another perennial presence at these championships, Dallas Texans (TX-N), as they face off with Tulsa Blitz 99 White (OK).

The U-19 boys finalists are fighting for the chance to contend for the James P. McGuire Cup, the oldest trophy in all of youth sports. CESA 92 Premier (SC) will face GSA 93 Phoenix Red (GA) in the U-19 boys final. On the girls’ side, CCSC 19 SOL (FL) is set to play Brentwood (TN) for a chance to vie for a national title.
