KATIE CLAMPITT RESIGNS AT BROOKLAND-CAYCE HS



Brookland-Cayce HS would like to acknowledge the resignation of girls soccer coach Katie Clampitt, who is stepping down to concentrate on her family. Clampitt leaves the Lady Bearcats after a seven-year head coaching stint (2009-2015) compiling an overall record of 120-47-7 (.709).

Clampitt's teams claimed Region 5-3A Championships four times (2011, 2012, 2013, 2015) and finished Runner-Up on three occasions, while posting a 55-7 (.887) region mark. Clampitt joined the Lady Bearcats staff in 2005 as an assistant coach and was part of Brookland-Cayce's Class 3A State Championship team that year and the Class 3A Lower State title team in 2006. She served as co-coach of the varsity side with Lauren Hudgens in 2009, before assuming full duty in 2010.

Clampitt will remain involved with the S.C. High School Soccer Coaches Association's Executive Board as a former President and current North-South Soccer Classic Director.

EMILY HEISE NAMED BROOKLAND-CAYCE GIRLS SOCCER COACH



Brookland-Cayce HS has named Emily Logan Heise as their new girls varsity soccer coach. Heise, formerly Emily Logan Setzler, is a 2006 graduate of BCHS and was a member of their 2005 Class 3A State Championship team and 2006 Class 3A Lower State Champion side.

Emily Logan Heise has been a member of the Bearcats coaching staff since 2009 as a varsity assistant coach. She is a veteran club soccer coach with Congaree Rapid FC and is currently involved with the U12, U16, and U18 girls teams at the club.

Heise played two years of NCAA Division 1 soccer at Francis Marion University (2006-2007) before transferring to the University of South Carolina. While at FMU, Heise was twice named to the Peach Belt Conference's Presidential Honor Roll. She finished her studies at USC with a degree in Exercise Science and minor in Psychology in 2011. Heise is currently employed by Palmetto Health and is married to B-C boys soccer coach Kevin Heise.
