I'm just curious as to which spring meetings this was decided and what the procedures were for selecting coaches.

I second that emotion.

The 1A/2A group gets this every year. Coaches just don't show up to voice their opinion, but then complain when it really matters. Not saying you two are in that boat, but there was a real stink about it last year. More coaches need to get off their duff and get involved 12 months out of the year.
