their were a couple bad calls in the dreher-sv game. sv got a pk in the first half on what looked like a flop, the call was questionable at least. early in the 2nd benny smith got a breakaway, keep came out, benny played it over his head at abotu the 25, and the keep leveled him. at first it appeared the ref wasnt even gonna call a foul, ended up the keep only got a yellow. thats gotta be a red, benny woulda almost certaintly beaten him to the ball. if thats not a prevention of a scoring opportunity then i dont know what is.
spring valley is sick tho, and they are prolly the better team and played a slightly better game, but their keeper goin out early in the second in a tie game changes the whole complexion of the game. i certaintly would like to think we could have managed a goal against their back up. and unless he is the best backup in the state theres no way he would have saved a strike late that would have tied it that the starter made a terrific save on.
