noticed that WA lost 1-0 to BE in the Rotary...did not see the match...is that a further indication of WA's slow start or BE's strength?

You'll have to explain a little about your screen name before I can talk to you. It scares me.

That is an interesting screen name - might be explained in your syntax thread and IM language? I am too old.

For those outside of the LowCountry area the Rotary Classic is a jamboree. Each game was two 15 minute halves. Very short and hard to get a rhythm. I know Wando and JI both won easily against light competition.

I do not doubt WA will get stronger during year.
Also, BE is a good team. They benefit from having at least 3 clubs feed them players. I believe they have starters from MPSC,Carolina Girls, and James Island.

BE - Wando scrimmage was rained out last week. Hope they reschedule. It can only help both teams with good competition.

I feel much better about you now. WA has historically been a slow starter. I didn't go to Rotary, but did see them play in the Viking Cup. I think they are still looking for their possible offensive lineup. BE, though a 2A school, functions as a 3A or 4A competitor due to their ability to attract quality players from a wide geographic area, as Swimmer 1 said.

WA plays Summerville today and that should shed some light on what's to come from their offense. The real season starts in a couple of weeks when Region 7 teams start playing among themselves.

That should read " I think they are still looking for their possible best offensive lineup. "

Or maybe:

That should read " I think they are still looking for their best possible offensive lineup. "

(By the time I get the post right the game will be over...)
