I completely agree. I haven't seen them play as much as I would have liked this year, but man I'm excited for the future. No, coaching hasn't been very strong for the girls as the school has attempted to recycle a former boys coach who didn't get it done in his first stint (no offense B). I repeat, watch for the squad to do well and run 2nd or 3rd round.

By the way, fan, what is the feelings towards the current coach. I know she is female and that's about it.

Current coach is young but, hey, what can you say about 9-0. Weak schedule or not, there are teams that have potential to have a great game and that is what upsets are all about. Best thing about the new coach is she respects the kids, loves soccer and not out there just for the extra money. She motivates the kids and coaches them as winners. She will make a name for herself.

Is she in the school district and from the Aiken area?

Forgive my inquisitive nature, S.A. is very dear to my heart and its an addiction to gather as much trivia as I can.

Sorry, I was not very clear on which "coach" I was talking about. I really don't know anything about the SA coach, and it sounds like she is doing a good job. Re-read my original post. I have edited it for clairfication purposes. I still stand on my position that I was not impressed by SA, but that's just me. I was impressed by Mauldin though. Even though I only saw them at the Viking cup, and it was very early in the pre-season, they were the only team I saw that looked like they were actually making passes as opposed to just kicking the ball.

I see that Lexington took SA to PK's last night (1-1 after regulation and OT) and beat them 3-2 in PK's. Great win for Lexington. This just confirms my previous comments about SA not really as good as their ranking indicates. Lexington is a team with no offense and they still beat SA. Just imagine how good Lexington could have been this year if they had any offense on that team. Good job in goal Erica!!

I see Lexington LOST to Aiken 1-0 last night. Sure would be nice to have some sort of offense on Lexington huh??? Tough luck Kika...like I said you can't do it all by yourself..........

What seems to be Lexington's short fall in offense? They seem to play great defense, but have some low scoring games. Its obviously enough to win some games, though.

We're not telling! However, rest assured that every girl on the Lexington team knows that the T.L. Hanna coach thinks that they provide "no competition". As it was so eloquently put on this message board. Should that first round match-up come to pass, it should be quite a night at "Wildcat Hollow"
