Polls are out....Fort Mill is #1.
Let's see if they can go wire-to-wire!

I just looked over FM's schedule. Basically it takes being beaten to move down in the rankings. You may be stuck at number one for quite a while...

There are a couple of potential non-region land mines there.
Also, Myers Park, Providence and Weddington are three of the toughest teams in the state of North Carolina. Do we get credit for a win or penalized for a loss when we take on these goliaths?

Just curious, why the nonregion, North Carolina schedule? Was it to beef up a few noncompetitive region matches? It will be fun to see what Fort Mill brings at the end of the season! Good Luck!

Absolutely. All three of those NC matches are 20 minutes away. It's a lot easier than the 3+ hour drive down to Charleston. We got to see two of the Big 3 in Taco Cup anyway, so that was good.
As far as Region games, Northwestern away still scares me. They always play FM tough at their place.

I would not think losing to a top ranked NC team would lead to a lower place in the standings. Beating a regionally ranked team might help you move up, but there's really no place up to go when you are number one.

I actually applied a high level of problem solving integration to come up with my ranking of WA at 10th. I rejected out of hand drill down dynamics, field force analysis and and PEST analysis and chose rather to go with the trash can model of problem solving. I threw every available fact regarding relative strength into one big can and then rooted around in the muck until I found the ones I liked that supported the desired premise. Not pretty but it was the best I could do. If it's good enough for W and his team it's good enough for me.

ps: Good luck to you and yours in the highschool season.

I actually had to go look up what PEST means -- at first, I figured it was a perjorative aimed directly between my eyes.
I'm honestly not trying to jinx WA, and I'm not trying to insult any other teams, but I believe that WA has by far the strongest individual talent pool in the state.
Best of luck to you and yours as well.
