ARSENAL v CHELSEA

SHEFF UTD v LEEDS

(Matches to be played March 8/9)

- Manchester Utd manager Sir Alex Ferguson has admitted that he was responsible for the dressing room accident that left David Beckham needing stiches above his left eye. The England captain was struck by a boot kicked in a fit of anger by the United boss following his side's 0-2 defeat by Arsenal on Saturday. Ferguson said "It was one of those freak acts of nature that happens. It's over, and it'll never happen again." Beckham has not yet commented on the incident.

- Everton's on-loan Brazilian striker Juliano Rodrigo is due to return to the club later this week after recuperating following a ligament injury.

- PREMIER LEAGUE referee's chief Philip Don says he does not believe a "magic eye" would end contentious decisions. "You'd have to have the same system at every single ground and it would have to be 100% foolproof" he said.

- Manchester United midfielder Roy Keane has hinted that he still may return to the Republic of Ireland team....after retiring from it last week. "A lot of bookies have been taking bets that Roy Keane would never play for Ireland again. If I was them, I wouldn't pay out" he said.
