The point Chapindad made about SC players on the roster is a good point..I think.
I agree that in theory more people would go to watch. Which makes me wonder..with the three SC players on USC's roster..was their an increase in attendance? (I would think so..espcially with Goose starting in goal)
Any info on that?

Clemson: 6 SC players of 24 rostered (25%). Clemson: [2004] #4 nationally in average attendance with an average of 1625 per game.
L-E Dude: It might have been a bit brighter to pick Clemson as the benchmark rather than USC-Upstate.

..sorry buddy. I don't really know what you're talking about.
I was wondering what(if any) was the increase in attendance at USC(Columbia) because of their increase in SC players.

L-E Dude: I'm responding to the following statement you make: "The point Chapindad made about SC players on the roster is a good point..I think."
I have not a clue as to the men's side. While I don't feel the disdain for men's soccer that our friend "Always Right" professes to feel for women's soccer, you're going to have to do your own research on that one.

*Sir Buddy
..all apologies.
Edit: ..that's why I said "in theory" ..here at Clemson ..as you showed we have great attendance..despite a lack of "local talent" ..so I was wondering what the effect of local talent was for the USC(Columbia) men's program. You seem to be a very competent stat compiler. I wasn't demanding you do the research.. you just seem to be naturally inclined to do it.

I guess I will make sure that I wait for your reponse and standards before I reply.
Why pick Clemson, if USC-Upstate isn't good enough for you? Why not UNC?
UNC 27 Players/13 NC players (48%) Dates/Avg Per Date..... Home 10/2561 away 7/1623 Neutral 8/2414
Or the DII Champs Nebraska-Omaha 13 Players/18 Nebraska Players (72%) Dates/Avg Per Date..... Home 9/391 Away 9/217 Neutral 4/304
Not great but still better than USC
Or UCLA #2 26 Players/19 CA Players (73%) ATTENDANCE............... Dates/Avg Per Date..... Home 13/920 Away 9/958 Neutral 4/3451
The neutral site games must have been the NCAA tournament.
My main point is that USC needs to look internally if they want to see success and which will help in bringing in fans to the game. People like to watch winners and like to have some type of emotional attachment to the players they are watching.
