they were playing "not to lose." This was obvious because the box was constantly packed with 10 players. they were in our half maybe 2minutes. but you are right it was a scare.

I have to agree, Spartanburg packed it in totally. At times all 11 of the players from Spartanburg were in their box. Irmo had two goals called back on questionable line calls and several shots hit the post. I also counted a total of five Spartanburg aproaches with only two being called shots. Irmo on the other hand had at least 15 to 17 shots even with the defenders pack in. It took a while but the superior team prevailed. Spartanburg played the type of game they had to in order to keep from being totally blown away. Kudos for a good game.

ok well if packing it in worked for a while for spartanburg do you think that if dorman and irmo both win saturday and play each other, dorman could score early and pack it in for the rest of the 90, even though thats not their style of playing??

since82, thats what they did last year in the semifinals against irmo. they scored early goals and were on defense the rest of the time.
