On 3/15/07 @ Broome

The Broome Lady Centurions started slowly which led to a lot of missed opportunities in a scoreless first half. The second half was much better with Broome able to score on two of their many chances. Emily Bryant opened the scoring when she pounced on a pass from Addie Hutson just in front of the left side of the goal. Addie added a goal to her own account a few minutes later to complete the scoring for Broome. The shutout was spoiled by Southside scoring a late goal. Refs were great, so that was a nice change. The victory leaves the Lady Centurions with an overall record of 6-3 and a region record of 1-0 heading into the game against Woodruff on 3/22/07 at Broome. Purpleandyellow, hope to see you there.

Yes—will be there. Hope we continue to have good refs. Both of WHS's region matches have had excellent refs. I have good friends at and from Broome. Good school, good people.

We'll probably drop from the rankings, and Wren will be moved into a spot near ours. We'll come in unranked for the rematch, get another tough match, and settle for teh 2nd place region finish. Sigh. Wren will win the title - you heard it here! Of course, what does it matter when you have to play either Dorman, Mauldin, Spartanburg, or Byrnes in the 1st round?
