I like the idea. But do you know how the teams get to be in 4A, 3A, etc.? Currently, I believe, they count the # of students, grades 9-12, in each school. The top 48 schools, ranked by number of students, are 4A, the next 48 schools are 3A, the next 48 are 2A, and all the rest are 1A. (This does not include SCISA Schools) So going to 5 divisions means maybe they take 40 schools for each division. Not a big change at the 5A, 4A level, but more of an impact at the 3A, 2A level (I think). And being from the smallest 1A school playing soccer, closing the gap between us and the 1A school with the most students is a good thing. Note, GSSM lost to Buford in two consecutive years in the Lower State Championship game, now they are 2A. Sure wish they were 2A back then.
