Are teams allowed to practice yet? Are teams training for the season? If so, how are they doing it? Who's going to be this spring's surprise team? Let us know!

doesn't mean the team can't do any fitness exercises, running, situps, pushups, sprints, so when the time comes to touch the ball all the fitness that had to be done has already been taken care of

I think teams are allowed to touch a ball as long as the coach isnt present...is this true?

GFCRaider -- No! Teams cannot play with a ball on school facilities or those of their feeder schools with or without a coach being present. Only on January 27, may soccer tryouts/practice begin

A coach may however work 1-on-3 with players on school grounds.

So are you saying a team can still play off school grounds? As long as its not like tryouts? Just kids playing after school or something?

This is ridiculous - a rule preventing kids from ballwork - who is the governing body of HS soccer? This just appears to be a thinly veiled attempt by American Football coaches to keep their football/soccer players playing football as long as the season is on and not practising soccer. the choice should be up to the kid and his school team.
