Coaches should have the very same rule book. They are required to be at the same preseason meeting with Roger Hazel that all officials are. If they don't then they are not doing their job.

They only have it IF the AD at the school orders it from the HSL! Oh and then give it to them! YOU GET REAL!

If I'm coaching a sport, the first thing I'm going to do is know the rules.

Having the rule book that governs your sport should be the first step in knowing the rules....don't ya think?

I agree, but you can not just go out and buy it.....read above post! So again if the AD at you school does not order one, how do you get it? you don't. Get the point?

Sure you can "just go out and buy it". Sometimes it's hard to read what a person is trying to say, but it seems you are just making some bad excuses. If you really wanted it, you could have gotten it. But anyway, here's some help...
buy here....

Roger Hazel has the books at the preseason meeting. Break down and spend five bucks on one.

When did I say I did not have one? I just tried to help you understand that not every coach gets one. Again stick to the point.

Numbers shall be of contrasting color to the jersey (or shorts) and clearly visable.

Interesting, we played Woodmont last night and their jerseys are a royal blue with royal blue numbers on both sides which can only be read from about 10 feet away if the light strikes it right. The girls team had white numbers on their jerseys, so it seems a deliberate decision. I found it made it more difficult on me, the coach, to call attention to my defenders in assigning marks but I also think it makes it more difficult on the referees to remember who has committed previous fouls as now they are operating primarily off of facial recognition. I'm not saying that it had any effect on the outcome of the game, I am simply inquiring as to whether anyone else has experienced this problem? Comments by the officials on this board?
