From Clinton High School:
Senior Reese Gowan
This will be her 4th season as a varsity starter
Last Seasons Stats: 7 goals w/10 assists
Her overall numbers may not sound very impressive but her play at the right forward position commanded the attention of the defenses we faced and required multiple players to defend. Her speed and ball control let her put the ball into play in the middle and across the field where the defense had to vacate. Which led to two Freshmen (striker and L/forward) scoring 12 goals and another 26 goals coming from the midfield behind her. If I could count most of those goals as assists I would.

Micaelann Gies CM Bluffton High
Dominant in controlling the center as CM/AM with incredible striking ability/power from outside the box. Played all but one match due to concussion protocol in the ‘21 season scoring 11 goals. Has received several D1/D2 offers to play at the next level. (Undecided)

Leyla Dubs CB/S Bluffton High
Has been a leader on our backline since freshman year. Posses incredible speed and intuition as well as ball skills. An absolute warrior with incredible mental toughness overcoming the loss of both her mother and father this past year along with managing her two younger siblings and school while staying focused on chasing her dreams of going to college and possibly playing at the next level.
9 goals 9 assists ‘21 season

SCHSSCA had a great turnout yesterday at the 2022 Lloyd's Soccer Senior Showcase held at the West Columbia Soccer Complex!

More than 60 players statewide participated in the All-Star "combine" which was conducted by Congaree Rapid FC staff and included SCHSSCA membership and collegiate coaches in attendance.

The day was an all-around success and more than likely will be a continued experience for the SCHSSCA Winter Clinic moving forward.

Pendleton High School GK Blake Coker
1st year starter
2 SO in four games
1 GA in four games
Blake just has started with us but shows more promise than I've seen at Pendleton in the last 15 years. He should not be overlooked as he traveled to the Senior Showcase to display his talents and showed that he will lead our defense this season.

From PREPSOCCER 3/24/22:

Switching to South Carolina, two of the state’s boys programs put on solid showings at the Smoky Mountain Cup last weekend in Gatlinburg, Tenn. Wando (S.C.) went 2-1 and finished tied for the top spot in the event’s elite division. Wando lost to Fayetteville (Ark.) but wins over Station Camp (Tenn.), which beat Fayetteville, and Cornerstone Christian (Texas) salvaged a tie in the standings. Wren (S.C.) went 2-0-1 and finished second in the Mount Buckley/Mount Love bracket. Wando was led by senior defender Beckham Voelker, who is committed to USC-Lancaster, and senior center mid Lucas Goldberg, who recently committed to Anderson University. Josue Rodriguez, a junior, continues to impress as he scored six goals in Wren’s three matches. He scored at least one goal in each contest at the showcase event.
