JL Mann 1 - 0 Southside Christian (in overtime). Mann scored on a set piece. Overall a very hard fought game, both teams had missed chances, game could have went either way. Good game to watch, got to see some first class soccer tonight. Refs were a little touchy, slowed the game down a bit.

Being a Gaffney alum i was just wondering did NW get their 31 shots all in the first half? Also was the full game played or was second half cut short at all? Just wondering.

It's legit. White Knoll has a very balanced attack. Best of luck to them down the road with the exception of when they visit the Hive, of course.
wow Irmo White Knoll looks like a baseball score. I didn't think anyone would be able to put 4 on Irmo this year.

NW Irmo has the possibility to get ugly. They both have high powered offenses. but then again they also have good defenses. This state game is going to be a pretty good one. better than any of the NW SV games of the past 3 years.

Very close game, 2nd goal comes in stoppage as we had everyone pushed up. Well played on both sides. Good Luck to Wando see you in the play-offs.
If Irmo could have cleaned up their mistakes this would've been another shutout. Regardless of whether WK scored 4 on them (props to WK) everyone needs to realize that it was still a 5 goal game. Look forward to seeing the state final, should be a good one.

Was Irmo missing any players against White Knoll?
Strom Thurmond 2, Saluda 1

Thurmond led 2-0 at the half despite only having 2 shots. One was on a corner kick that somehow bounced off the back of a Thurmond player and into the goal. Thurmond finished with 3 shots for the entire game. A disappointing result for Saluda. Vidal Olivares scored his second of the year for Saluda in the 2nd half.

Yes, it is my understanding that four starters were absent from the starting line up. I think Kyle Hubbard is injured, Acree had been sick, and Lunceford and Nobels played in a tournament over the weekend. Only one of those four played (Acree).

Dillon 3
Marion 2

Played in 30-40 mph gusts of wind. Dillon had the wind in the 1st half and scored three times while Marion had the wind in the 2nd and scored twice. Marion fought hard but was unable to get the equalizer before time ran out. The wind was a big factor. Dillon and Marion is a very entertaining match and a good rivalry.

yea was crazy how much that coin toss decided that game...30+ mph winds in our face + sun in 1st half. Good game though coach. good luck in playoffs
You guys played well. It's funny, we were sitting around before the game deciding which side to take if we won the toss. We got lucky and won the toss and chose to take the shade and wind first and hoped to hold on. If there were 10 more minutes, who knows what would have happened? Good luck to you all as well. You guys have a good team and can make some noise in the playoffs.
