Both teams fought hard. A few mental mistakes by wren were very costly, but the guys are learning a lot from mistakes early in the year and it's a long season to continue to grow.

Didn't Lancaster play in two preseason tourneys? How did they get away with that?
Lexington looked good last night against Aiken winning 4-1. Aiken is definitely in a rebuilding mode this year.
how did lexington lose to dorman?! and The lose against spring valley for lexington needs to be changed to 2-1 loss because they lost in pks when it was tied at the end of overtime 1-1

Don't overlook Dorman they are a very good side and much better than a #15 ranking. But let's just say that Dorman had about 4-5 shots on goal and 3 of them went in. They scored in the last two minutes to get the win. Lexington outplayed them and out shot them. Lexington just couldn't finish which seems to be a main problem for Lexington this season as it was evident in their other two losses.

Can't confirm Lancaster's score.

I may be wrong about this, but I believe the Red Rose Classic is a regular season tournament. I know it has been played in the middle of the soccer season before, and for this year, it was moved up to the beginning of the season.

J. Jordan

From what I was told, if a tournament is played before March 8 - the first regular season playing date - it is considered a preseason tournament.

I was wrong earlier; The Red Rose Classic seems to have always been played in early March since its start in 2008. So I'm assuming it was (and still is) meant to be a preseason tournament.
The players organize and take care of themselves ask any of them and they will tell you the same thing.

Not saying practices aren't important, but a lot of other things go into running a program as well besides running practices. Your previous two coaches probably don't have the amount of wins combined to that of coach Green.
i personally love coach green but i know alot of guys who quit his team but are still doing amazing.

True but very few "good" coaches have stepped up and tried to take over the program. Coach Green is just a last resort for those boys.
Until recently I don't think there has been to much reason for anyone to go to WK. I can still remember the first team to ever come through WK and remember how many thugs they had. Coach Green has coached many different teams and always left them better than when he received them. Perhaps some WK players should be more grateful for what they have. You could do worse than Tim Green.

Tis true. Played Lancaster a day after a hard fought inter-city match with Northwestern. Not to take away from the Lancaster boys, they were ready.

South Pointe was a bit fatigued and will get another shot at Lancaster in a few weeks. It will be a different game.
Congratulations to Coach Berry and team for putting up a quality match vs an always competitive BC side.

Best of luck the rest of the season.

Great game from both teams!
Wando keeps on squeking out victories in PKs. Can anyone tell inform me on how these games are going? one sided? wando doesnt have an attack? WHAT IS IT?!?
Notes of interest on the Summerville-Wando Match last night:

Summerville's goal (by Alan Blackwood) came less than 60-seconds after the initial kickoff.

Wando's goal (in regulation time) was from a pk awarded just before the end of the first half.

To Summerville's credit, after they scored, they did not sit back and just try to hold on – they continued to attack.

Very hard-fought match – some great saves by both keepers, and both teams had numerous scoring opportunities. For the most part, players kept their tempers well below that of a "typical" Summerville-Wando match (hopefully, Wando's videographer will post a clip of the play that resulted in the pk)

What has happened to Dreher? Is this the same team who took Northwestern almost 65 minutes without a goal?
