Would someone please explain the nomination process?

I just read in the 3A-AAAA post that the coaches nominate players from their team. Does that mean the other coaches in the region do not have input?

You got it.

"Hey coach, your team gets three, e-mail me their names."

It's that simple.

There's no ideal way to handle these post-season awards and all-star game honors. There are definite flaws in all of them. My recommendation is to enjoy the ones' that come and don't sweat those that don't.

I hear ya, I guess changes in Coaching staffs are an issue and certainly impact selections.
