Irmo beats Wando, and Mauldin beats NW. I'm pulling for Mauldin to go all the way, but I think Irmo probably has the best team in the state this year.

My money's on a repeat of last year's championship game. Since I'm an Irmo fan I hope they win but never discount Northwestern's current talent in the BIG game. No Enzo but still have little brother Alex, Dennis and a bunch of great players.

Irmo is very strong TEAM this year. NW didn't look as strong early in the season but they have picked it up. I believe Wando is a bit weak in defense. Haven't seen Mauldin play.

Agree with last chance about Wando being a little weak in the back but I think they are stronger than Fort Dorchester and Beaufort, both lost to Irmo 3-0. And I think Fornell and Burkholder will challenge Irmo's defense and make for a classic match up between these powerhouses. Irmo though will probably be too strong in the end and prove why they are Top Dogs in the state.

Fornell had, I believe, a goal wrongly disallowed from offsides. Hopefully Manchester will have a video of this to confirm or dispell my belief but maybe he burned it to hide the evidence and protect Irmo....
irmo deserve to win this game. i think wando can admit that to, yeah in the second half wando had their chances and most of the play but irmo still had chances and even one hit the bar(along with the one in the first half) irmo was the better team tonight

I'd be happy to include it in the highlights if I had it, but from where I shoot I'm only able to get the attacking half of the field for IRMO. The camera on top of the press box covers the whole field, but I don't have that footage. Sorry.

it will be depressing to see wando in the final. other than playing "hard" they have nothing special. fun game thought.

Irmo should have had 3 in my opinion. They had one that I swear crossed the plain but wasn't counted, I think the call was that it didn't cross completely though but looked good from where we were sitting (behind Irmo student section, halfway up). That and 2 off the post, could have been worse than it really was. Irmo was head and shoulders better than Wando all but about 6 minutes.
I know nothing of Mauldin but it should be a great one tonight. I think NHS will win but I worry about Northwestern's D against Irmo attack.
