Has anyone noticed beufort?

possible lowerstate this year?
Posted By: Old Gal Re: Beufort? - 03/02/11 03:54 PM
I have noticed Beaufort, been to Beaufort, and like Beaufort.

I have also noticed that you struggle mightily with the English language and wonder if your soccer program is proud that you represent your respective school.
Posted By: Backscreen17 Re: Beufort? - 03/02/11 04:11 PM
I saw Beaufort play several matches this past week. Most notable was a 3-2 victory over Wando. The eagles should not be counted out of the Lower State Class AAAA title discussion.

What is up with people getting on people who just don't feel like putting the shift key every single time? Who don't really care if one little letter is misplaced. If it wasn't readible I would understand you but all I see is he didn't capitalize. Really your showing you inmaturity by correcting his errors. This isn't a test where you HAVE to get every word right... Oops sorry I put "have" in all caps, I wanted to make an impression. Or does that bother you? It's a soccer website. Talk about soccer or go to school and become a teacher if you want to correct people.

he is talking about spelling moron. like yours. IMMATURITY not inmaturity. for god sakes it puts a red line under the misspelled words when you type them.it is annoying when people cannot spell properly in their posts

Old Gal,
I noticed in your 2/27(morning) post regarding The Sandhills Classic, your tense usage is incorrect. The use of the verbs "were"(twice) and "was" clearly indicate a past tense, yet the use of "appears" in your second sentence, is just as clearly present tense.
I wonder if your soccer program is proud that you represent your respective school?
By the way, I wonder if know that your closing sentence from above should end with a question mark and not a period.
Posted By: SJE Soccer Pro Re: Beufort? - 03/02/11 05:34 PM
I don't think your much better. I had one error on my post. Don't see how that annoys you if it's still readable. I see various errors on yours. And you had to edit it so you probably had more.

Once again this is a soccer website and we're talking about grammer. Wow.

I agree it is annoying when people can't spell. I also don't see anything wrong on bernie's post? And its grammar by the way, but anyways how did BEAUFORT beat Wando? any details on that game?
Posted By: Backscreen17 Re: Beufort? - 03/02/11 06:52 PM
Details: During several scrimmages/matches early in the season (Northwestern, Beaufort, Lexington), Wando fell behind due to what I would describe as indifferent effort and lax defending.

Beaufort took a 2-0 lead, only to see Wando bounce back and tie the score in the second half. Beaufort then scored a clean winner off a restart prompted by a dubious foul throw call.

In short, Beaufort played well enough to win, while Wando played well enough to lose.

Interesting thread to say the least. However, Beaufort is not spelled Beufort. I will leave the rest of the English/grammar police to those that care .

Just about every one of you has some kind of error in grammar, typing, capitalization, or spelling in your respective post. This isn't a term paper, it's a freaking soccer forum. Why don't we all stop bickering about trivial details and talk some soccer? The question of the forum hasn't even really been answered yet! No more posts about grammar!!! As for Beaufort, I really haven't heard much about them this year, but a 3-2 victory over Wando is definitely very respectable, and should not be overlooked (though Wando does not seem to be as good this year as in previous years).

I'M JUST TRYIN TO HAVE A GOOD TIME!

This year's squad is heavy on seniors and does not have much proven depth. They are well coached and if they can stay somewhat healthy they ought to make a good run at lower state. Region 8 last year was a season long cage match and will probably prove to be another very competive year.

Sorry, couldn't resist. Old Gal is pretty much ok with that post. Her beloved Red Foxes were (in a game that is already in the past) overmatched; the weather was (during the past match) nice, but South Aiken appears (currently, in the present, as the tournament is still in progress at the time of the post) to be the class of the tournament. "I wonder..." actually is a statement, not a question. She doesn't have to ask if she wonders; she's pretty well sure of it, just passing on the fact, and therefore the period is appropriate.

Anyway, enough nonsense, back to soccer--how 'bout them Beufort Eagles? My grammer is a big fan, but my granpa pulls for Summerville. I guess there's still a question mark about their bench talent according to Sconners, which could be a problem 'cause it's good to spell your players now and again so they come back fresh. One thing is for sure--the upcoming games will tell the tale...period.

Nice to have an unknown floating around out there. I'll be interested to see how Beaufort progresses throughout the season. Is this just one good group, or are they actually increasing the talent base in the Beaufort area?
Posted By: zokker_king Re: Beufort? - 03/03/11 04:49 PM
the talent is in beaufort, the program has been climbing for several years, if you look @ the last 4 or so years they have been in the lower state championship twice, once against spring valley and last year irmo. to overlook beaufort would be a mistake, congrats to the program for its first ever victory over wando. it would have been nice to see them win one of the ties just to see the rematch as the victory seemed to wake wando up, the rematch i believe would have had a different outcome, goodluck to all
Posted By: BeenAround Re: Beufort? - 03/03/11 06:08 PM
Rematch is in two weeks in Beaufort.

Am I missing something here? Is someone making a lot of money off the website? I'm sure Kyle cares that you've got your feelings hurt. You've pretty much already stated in another post that you think that the rankings are skewed because of who runs the website. As far as him spending his time with something better to do...He has to read through these posts and if he decides to retort back to something, then what's the difference between what he does and what you do?

Of course you could just use spell check or not let what someone says offend you...on a message board!

I often wonder how Wando, with all that talent year in and year out, doesn't do better than they do. Wando has an embarrassment of talent every year it seems. What gives? Why don't they win more 4A titles and at least Lower State more?
Posted By: Backscreen17 Re: Beufort? - 03/04/11 03:05 PM
Can't speak for years and years, but LAST YEAR, Irmo was a shade better than Wando, and playing at home in the lower State title game, to boot.

From what I can see this year, several Lower State teams are more than capable of defeating Wando on a one-off basis.

For Wando to develop, the senior class must continue to provide leadership, while the other classes follow and work hard to develop as players and a TEAM. All the pieces are there for a deep playoff run.
