Just after the hour at Eagle Stadium ... Airport 0:2 Brookland-Cayce.

Eagles are playing well, and hard - it shows. B-C are giving them everything they can handle. Herbert Cojulun broke the deadlock on 45' when Eagles' defense failed to clear a flurry of shots. Within 5 minutes a Dontrell Taylor end line serve nearly found its way to the head of Cojulun but was less than a foot high. No trailers for the Bearcats meant an Airport counter.

An Eagle free kick center 18 just outside the area fails to produce. The counter produced a couple of good chances, and the work done by Taylor was reciprocated. This time from Cojulun, and Dontrell sent it far post inside side netting to put the Bearcats up by two goals to nil.

Airport 0:3 B-C on 78'

The Eagles foul Cojulun in the area, and Gustavo Gonzaga's penalty is saved ... we're back to open . Eagles gain the advantage and the crossbar is kind to the Bearcats, the follow-up was high and wide. A foul sends it back towards the east end of Eagle Stadium, and a caution and subsequent free kick are close but not on frame. Airport's keeper is a busy man and has been stingy to say the least. A Bearcat corner leads to a shot just a yard wide. Cojulun then closes the deal netting himself a brace. 3-0 to B-C with only time added remaining (of course there's no time added...)

Two more goals by Brandon Gillmore. The first was on a direct kick and the second was assisted by Jonathan Brissey. It really is a shame this kid just moved to South Carolina as a senior.
After the red card 10 minutes into second half and the score 2-1 in Ft. Mill's favor, Clover pulled the entire starting lineup off the field and placed a mixture of JV players pulled up for the tournament and regular substitutes. No reason to lose anymore for the tournament.

I will leave it up to your imagination as to why the rest of the team was pulled, may have to do with the phantom red card.

You can call it a "Phantom" red card all you want, but the kid spit on the FM player and the AR saw the whole thing. Sounds like he deserves a red to me. And Clover pulled their entire team after one of there better players was given a yellow for dirty play a few minutes later.
The dangers of non-region, last days of season games. If key players get cards it can cost you in your early playoff
game.
Klose: Stop blaming the red car, Clover is terrible and classless, their assistant coach is an idiot and their fans are clueless, know nothing about the game.
