No kidding the upsets are happening everywhere. 50% on the final 4 100% on the finals lol. Doing much better than the last mens world cup picks for sure. Lots of great games for sure but sad the local news media barely even mentions it.

The AMHS - Wacammaw rematch will be perhaps the best lower state championship match in a long time.
SC newspaper and TV are trained to not report on soccer until the playoffs.
Magnet seem to really want it this year. What was the score the last time these two crossed paths.
Indian Land upsets AMHS and not even sure call it an upset... IL dangerous team now.... because they believe now they can win it all.
Academic Magnet's keeper got a Red Card so he won't be playing in the State Championship game.
No dog in this fight but if keeper is out for magnet there confindence want be what it would have been. Telling you IL is hitting on all cylinders right now. Could be there time
Magnet is has had a good season so far I would like to pick them to win it. Seeing as there keeper will not be able to play the finals it will be an ever closer game. Congrats to both teams for making it this far.
Game was played for the most part w/ 10 men and they were still able to get a 1 - 0 win. Academic Magnet and Indian Land will be a great game.
AMHS has played as tough a schedule as anyone in 2A
Their coach has 20 years of soccer experience and is a goalkeeper. They won't be caught short with the final in the balance.

amhs a [censored] good team! They impressed me in the Lake Murray Challenge beating Chapin and Ashely Ridge and one goal loss to Cardinal Newman. It should be a fun game to watch Saturday!
We, Calhoun County, are not 2A until the 2012-2013 season. Should be interesting moving into a higher classification; especially one filled with strong soccer, football, and baseball programs. Hopefully our second year of soccer will be a successful one, having to compete with the likes of Barnwell and Wade Hampton (H).
As for the 2A Championship, I feel that AMHS has the stronger of the two programs. From an organizational standpoint they show the discipline of top level programs in the state. But as has been said in multiple posts throughout the playoffs... It all comes down to one game. Doesn't matter who would win 9 of 10 - just that single game on Saturday. I'm looking forward to all of the games this coming weekend. Best of luck to all involved and well done for putting in the work to have such an opportunity.
