Fourth game this year to finish in pks for us! We had a 4-2 lead fairly late and Greenville just kept pushing and equalized with around 5 minutes left. Great game but disappointed we didn't do better managing a lead.

At Pickens
Daniel 7, Pickens 0
Halftime: Daniel 2, Pickens 0
Goals: Chas Martin (2), Gus Johnson (3), Kit Schleifer (2, plus 3 assists).
Pickens played an off-side trap in the first half; their defenders were very disciplined and played it very well, catching Daniel off at least 5 times, maybe more. And the whole side worked very hard; unfortunately for them, I think they grew tired in the second half, and Daniel made some adjustments. But set pieces hurt Pickens: three goals from corners, one from a direct kick, one from a PK, and one from a long throw.

Hanna 3-0 Easley
Hanna goals for Johnny Landis and freshmen Real Wise and Brien Booker. Been fun watching our freshmen play very well in meaningful games.
With the Greenwood loss tonight Region 1 AAAA is deadlocked at the top with Hanna, Greenwood, and Hillcrest possibly splitting the championship. Of course, we still have matches next week and it could all change.
