From PeacePassers.org web release:

Right before the Christmas holiday, our teammate's 5 year-old son, Max Nova, was brought to the emergency department resulting in a sudden surgery to remove a tumor from his spine - ultimately resulting in a cancer diagnosis - Ewing's Sarcoma.

The Nova family Will (super dad), Mikey (super mom), Jameson (Max's older sister), Georgia (Max's younger sister) are now navigating the next steps of chemo and radiation for Max.

The mother, Michael Lindsey Sonefeld Nova aka “Mikey”, played with us at Brookland-Cayce High School 1999-2002. She went on to play at Winthrop University and resides in Charlotte today.
For more information on Max Nova and his battle, please follow Michael L. Nova Facebook page - https://www.facebook.com/michael.sonefeld.

*Any profit made from this campaign will be coordinated alongside the Nova family and utilized in a manner that contributes back to supporting Max.

In lieu of admission charged to attend the Jamboree, donations in honor of Max Nova will be accepted at the entry gate. You may also donate via:

What a great event and even more extraordinary collection of soccer enthusiasts who contributed to the Max Nova “Peace Passers” endeavor. This year’s event is similar to the Soccer-For-A- Cure day staged in the past by Gray Collegiate Academy Soccer. Good luck to all participating teams this Spring!
