I think its near rock hill. Maybe!!! Cherokee county.
Posted By: CornerFlag Re: scores 3/15 - 03/16/05 04:13 AM
Cherokee county would make sense, wouldn't it.
Posted By: Anonymous Re: scores 3/15 - 03/16/05 04:16 AM
After i made the post i realized how it looked but i was being serious i do think its in that county.
Posted By: Jack Rozier Re: scores 3/15 - 03/16/05 04:23 AM
I remember (what seemed like) the longest bus ride ever to play Indian Land my freshman year.. we beat them ..and then they forfeited the match at our place.

..funny in retrospect..

anyway..it's in Lancaster County..South of Fort Mill..East of Rock Hill..off 521..etc..

This is for those of you that get as bored as I do.

Indian Land is on the rise..in the next couple of years they will be 2A..they are building a new school to replace the other one.. it is right there on the SC/NC border down the road from Charlotte..they will have some talent once ppl who work in charlotte start living there.

Thanks. Sometimes I'm just too lazy to click on the scoreboard. Also, it doesn't give any details on the game. I was trolling for some.

Collateral -- I wish more Coaches or Team Reps would provide a game summary like the ones the Dreher and Brookland-Cayce boys have on their scoreboard pages.

#3 Wilson Hall defeated St. Francis 13-0 on tuesday. St. Francis is a weaker team and wilson hall should face some better compitition this upcoming week. They have OP on monday, calhoun on tuesdaay and OP again thursday. OP is weaker this year but wh will need to beat them twice to make it to the play-offs.

Lowerstate4A,
The game between DF and Fort Mill was a very good game. Fort Mill was a senior dominated team that was well coached and physical. #9 up top was quick and the players for Fort Mill were very organized. Except for #9, they won't beat you on speed. Dutch Fork was overmatched physically but was better in their overall speed. It was a shame that the game came down to a PK. I think that call for the PK was close, but after that, the referees let a couple go that were worse than the one that they called. Both teams had some very good chances. Both defenses played pretty well. There were only about 5-6 corners in the whole game. Although, #8 had a flip throw that went about 50 yards one time. Definitely a scoring opp anywhere inside their end of the field.
Posted By: Anonymous Re: scores 3/15 - 03/17/05 12:57 AM
Wando - Burley had been putting pressur eon defense all night. He finally took advantage of a poor clearing attempt, picked up loose ball and kept the defender on his back. As goalie came out he kept it low and it got under goalie.
Eppelshiemer made 2nd Wando goal off a PK. He was knocked down in box as he was receiving a good cross.
Couldn't tell you scored for Summerville, though I think Creech had the assist. Again a poor defensive play put an offensive player at the advantage.

RCates,

Good recap. I wasn't there but what you describe is pretty much what I've heard from three or four FM parents. The PK was questionable and unfortunately, that's life. Both defenses were very good and FM's #9 probably had the best chances of anyone. I heard it was a match up between two teams who could play eachother ten times, and the result of each would be either a draw or a one goal differential.
Posted By: Anonymous Re: scores 3/15 - 03/18/05 02:02 AM
Creech scored for Summerville. He chipped it over the keeper as he came out to get a lose ball out to the side, about 12 yards out.
