The field was surprisingly wet, despite having a big crown. Ben Lippen played strong and physical, notching their 3rd region win, which was certainly a big one. Dunbaker moving up top for the final 10 minutes certainly made a huge difference in the scoreline, causing the first goal (a shot that the keeper dropped into the goal) to not be the deciding factor. Good luck to Hammond, especially when the missing players get back, I expect ya'll to challenge Pinewood and Seneca for your group in the Greenville tournament.

South Aiken - 3 Aiken High - 1 well played SA...hell of a game.

Last I heard BC was up 4-0 on Airport. Their starting keeper is back, and Andrew Evans scored two, Carlos Farias-Perez and Andrew Richardson scored 1 a peice.

good game well played either way, tied 1-1 until about 60 minutes in when a midfielder from SA spun and put a shot in from the 18. Aiken's keeped didnt realize it was on frame and just let it in. 2-1 until about 2 minutes left in the game when SA put in one more during aiken's last push off of a defensive mistake.
All around good game both ways, either team can take it on any given day.

Irmo deserved the win. The outhustled DF for everyball. Congrats to Irmo for picking up their game.

scsoccer18 - you are right. McCabe had an incredible night or it would have been much worse.

This was an excellent match that went pretyy much the way all of Hilton Head's games have been going. Find a way to score and play tough defense. Beaufort had one unbelievable sequence in the first half but were turned away by the goalie and the rest of the defense. HH's only score came on a counter attack in the first half to Christian. Carlos had a great shot sail just over the bar. Beaufort is definitely for real.

Maybe BC did catch some breaks last year but they also caught a bad break last year with the injury to Evans(3 goals last night according to state newspaper)

Wrong again, You must have missed the 3-1 win at Eagle Stadium last year.

Point being is that BC has been dominate in their region. Winning 9 out of the last 12 region titles.

Man, ya'll must play for teams that never lose and are always on top and that always beat teams like Airport. If Airport is so bad Chucky, and if they should stop beating up on teams like swansea and gilbert, what does that say for you. That you can beat a sub par team that beats other sub par teams. Congratulations! As for Coach Hornsby, I think he has done a good job at Airport. Before he got there Airport was no where near competing with teams. Of course you'll say that Airport didn't compete last night, but then again it was a rival game. A game that BC was obviously more prepared for. Airport did have their chances to get back into the game before it got nasty, they just couldn't get the ball in the net. (Not that there were that many chances) I say quit saying things about a person you don't even know, and who has done great things for the team he coaches.

You're right, Airport didn't compete and the game was a rivalry game. But there-in lies the problem. Usually, a sub-par team steps it up against their rival and makes it closer than it should be (i.e. last year's pk loss and 3-1 loss, both overachieved)

BC dominating the region is a stretch, i dont think you could say any one team dominates that region. you could make a the claim that the top 3 teams are all legitimate state title contenders.

Dreher has been in the same region w/ BC since what 97? How many Championships do they have? 99 Co champs, 04? 2 total right? BC has 7. Flora has the other. I would say BC has Dominated.

BC is 12-9 vs Dreher since 1997. Not dominate. Titles yes - head to head - no.

7 titles to 2 is dominate. That's all that counts. Since the Head to Head is so closr that means BC must have beaten other teams in the region while DHS did not.

I usually don't reply to trash talk on this website, but when someone attacks me( in this case) or my players ( especially cowards who attach fake info like actor in hollywood on their post info.)then I will comment. The quote was taken out of text a little. At the beginning of the interview the reporter asked me to comment on BC's program, and I told him to talk to their coach about them. That I would discuss my players only. After talking about some of my players he asked me if I expected BC to dominate the region like last year, and I should have gotten on the bus.That was the quote that you saw in the paper. It should not have happened, but I gave my opinion that BC did not dominate last year. Dominating to me means that you are undeafeted and uncontested. BC lost to Dreher last year and beat us in pk's one game, and I am not sure what they did with Chapin, but I am sure they didn't dominate them as good as Chapin is. To comment on the BC game Tuesday night we had a terrible training session Monday and it carried over to Tuesday night. BC is a very good team and they will embarrass you if you don't play your best like they did 6-0. For Samuel Jackson I would love to see your post that was deleted.
