Your indoor league coach will need to be replaced after you lose to the El Loco Taco Posters.
We're playing D1 Gold though.. we aren't in D3 Old Farts.
LE-Dude have you ever played in the plex??
Oh NOOOOOOOOO! D1 Gold??????
Any All-staters or north/southers?
Sammy - Yes.
Stroke - Yes. I voted them all in for N/S and All-state.
Ridge View is No longer a Vacancy
John Donohue, the JV coach has been promoted to fill Darlington's shoes.
Maybe a better program now, hopefully it'll be more disciplined, I guess we'll have to wait and see.
And now Camden is vacant. I gotta get my license.
Can't be much to it - run the guys a bit, put 'em on the field and yell at the refs.
This seems to be a large number of vacancies? What seems to be the underlying cause of such turnover? Does this have an impact on the quality or does it improve the quality of high school soccer? What impact does this have on club soccer?

They finally figured out the Flora recipe!
I'll keep updating this.. I think it's pretty interesting as well.. Flora, Dreher, and Airport.. that's quite a few fresh faces in Columbia 3A. Not to mention Wando, Ridge View, Riverside, and Greenville all being storied programs with lots of potential.
Here's your update:
CESA is gonna do training at those schools and take over those programs.
..that would be the only way Flora makes it through the playoffs I suppose.
At least they will never, never, never, never, never, never ever, ever, ever, ever in the history of mankind or in the record of human history lose to LE again!
Amazing how you go from rational to insane from forum to forum.. truly amazing.
BTW: You know the Flora coaching carousel (CESA affiliated or not!) can't compete with such a devoted alumnus/soccer God as myself.
Yes, the old brain cells can shift gears quite remarkably.
And.....you and your school will suffer at the hands of the devil himself - Chico.
Red and black for all.
Resistance is futile.
The coaching position at Riverside is still held by Brian Dender. He has not left the program, but there is a possibility depending on a career change that will determine if he continues to coach.
Awesome to Hear Coach!!!!!!

New Wando coach Tisdale no stranger to area soccer
BY PHILIP M. BOWMAN
The Post and Courier
Shilo Tisdale has been named the boys' soccer coach at Wando High School.
"I look forward to working with the Mount Pleasant community, the parents and the kids," said the 29-year-old Tisdale, who becomes the third coach in the history of the program. "It's been a consistent program, but it has been a few years since we've won the state championship. That's our goal. That's the ultimate goal." Tisdale is young, but still has an impressive soccer resume. He played for the Hanahan Hawks and led the team to four appearances in the Lower State championship.
He was a four-year starter at The Citadel and earned all-conference honors. He graduated from The Citadel in 1999 and played one year professionally in the Jamaican Premier League.
He restarted the North Charleston High soccer program in 2004, and followed that by serving as the Wando junior varsity coach last year.
He inherits a program that is one of the strongest in the state.
Tom Reilly started the soccer program at Wando and spent 23 seasons as a coach, leading the Warriors to four state titles. He compiled a 407-82-16 record. His replacement, C.J. Rozzi, coached three years, compiling a 67-8-3 record. Rozzi resigned to spend more time with his family.
Wando athletic director Bob Hayes said 18 people applied for the job and four were interviewed. Hayes was impressed with Tisdale's enthusiasm and soccer knowledge.
"He was born and raised in this area, and he wants to be here," Hayes said. "He's a good fit for the program and community."
"I'm excited about the opportunity," Tisdale said. "I'm young, I'm motivated and I want to be here a long time.
"I'm always looking for a challenge. That's why I went to The Citadel. This is the perfect opportunity, the perfect challenge."

How about any of the jobs in the Columbia area?
Boys - AC Flora, Airport, Dreher, LR, RNE
Girls - Dutch Fork
You can now add Mauldin (Boys) to the list of coaching vacancies. It was confirmed on Wednesday.
Is what I'm hearing correct? Horsby at Dreher and McClendon at Flora?
Coach Hornsby will be the head coach at Dreher. Good luck to him next season!
Is Mclendon the greenwood coach?...who is in Greenwood.
McClendon was the Greenwood coach. He is moving to Columbia. John Kinard is the new coach.
How was Mclendon at Greenwood? Any information on their record?
Jamie was a great coach in Region I. He started out with the girls side and did well in his one season in charge. He has since moved to the boys and brought that program to a higher level than before his arrival. Very fiery personality and no nonsense. Come to work hard, get your affairs in order, and lets play ball. Vocal during the game and extremely competitive. Flora made a good hire.
PLACE YOUR BETS!!!
I say they run him off after his 2nd year!
Who are they that you are referring?
Dudeman don't know nothing about no real soccer. Dudeman is just bummed that now LE will never, never, ever, ever have a chance at pulling another crappy upset of the Falcons. McClendon will be the best thing for Flora since the invention of the water fountain. He is young, energetic, and works very hard.
Maybe he can help them out with that website. Yikes!

Riverside - Nick Finotti
SHOCKING!!!
Hillcrest's position has been filled. Not sure what his name is. I think he is new to the area, maybe a new teacher this year at Hillcrest. Since they are doing everything they can to make sure all coaches are teachers at the school.
Do we know why Finotti left for Riverside? He has nothing but positive things to say when asked about Greenville.
Broome was last at Swansea girls, right?
Any hope on that A.C. Flora site yet?
Pendleton is still seeking JV coaches for both girls and boys programs.
Matt Schult
Pendleton High School
Doesn't Finotti coach most of the Riverside players in club? I may be misinformed.
I understood he was not going to do HS again, but I guess things change.
Question.To extrapolate SHup^&plays statement.
if you are not a teacher in the system, but are the HS coach. Are you limited by the SCHSL rules of number of players you coach outside of School? I believe the answer is yes.
If you are not a teacher in the system and you are not the head coach but an assistant. Are you limited by the same requirement? Not implying Coach Finotti is doing anything wrong, just asking a question.
I don't know anything about SCHSL rules but last year the coach of Hillcrest HS was not a teacher and also coached a CESA club team. Nick (Finotti) coaches more than 1 CESA team so if there is a problem it would have to be in the numbers, but I would assume that Coach Finotti did his homework. There are only 2 players on his 90 Boys Premier team that attend Riverside. I don't know the players on his other club teams......
Maybe I should post a different thread, I am sure noone is doing anything knowingly wrong. I am just wondering the specifics of the the SCHSL rules.
I know the club team cannot be composed of more than 9 players (??). But with open training sessions and the like you can at any given period be "coaching" more than that number. Is it a specific club team or is it in general. If it is specific to a club team what's to stop a HS coach from selecting players from the HS in the club and hold training session every week?
I am ignorant in this subject and was just asking the question. Maybe Kyle or Kevin can provide an answer.
A coach (any associated with the high school) can only coach/train 8 returning varsity players per team in the offseason. The eight returning varsity players include any player that dressed for a varsity match the prior HS season. In other words, the player didn't even have to play, simply dress to be considered a varsity player.
There are many cases where high school coaches (head coaches, assistant coaches, volunteer coaches) double in the fall as club coaches. As long as they don't exceed the 8 player rule, they are fine.
Not sure on the "open training" example you gave, but my understanding is that the rule pertains to coaching a "team."
greenville now has a coach
just to remove the rumors, Coach Nickles is still the coach at Emerald.
